John King, MD, MPH

Dr. John King is a family medicine physician at Gifford in Randolph, Vermont. He enjoys caring for patients of all ages, from newborns through older adulthood and end-of-life care. He has added qualifications in sports medicine and geriatrics and has extensive experience in comprehensive primary and inpatient care.

King believes strongly in shared decision-making, combining the best available medical evidence with each patient’s individual needs, values, and goals. He especially values the relationships that develop through caring for multiple generations of the same family.

In addition to seeing patients at Gifford and Lamoille Health Partners, King serves as program director for the Maple Mountain Family Medicine Residency, helping train the next generation of family physicians in Vermont’s rural communities. He is also a professor of family medicine at the University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine and has decades of experience in medical education and residency training.
