Alexander Orem, MD

Dr. Alexander Orem is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in adult hip and knee replacement surgery. He has completed a fellowship in adult joint replacement surgery and has special interest in anterior approach total hip replacement. He also performs partial and total knee replacement surgery. He greatly enjoys helping patients regain their quality of life after suffering from degenerative joint disease and strives to help each patient meet their best possible outcome.

Douglass Weiss, MD

Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Douglass Weiss sees patients at Gifford Specialty Clinics in Randolph and at Sharon Health Center. He treats a wide range of conditions and injuries, and describes his philosophy of care as personalized and focused on maximizing outcomes.

“I treat patients with respect, and develop a rapport with them—how you’d want family members treated, whether it’s your 24-year-old nephew or your 8o-year-old dad. I treat their condition and diagnosis appropriately to maximize their chance for a successful outcome using different modalities, operative and nonoperative.”

Dr. Weiss, who also serves as a team physician with USA Hockey, formerly provided care as a Commander with the United States Navy, based at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune, N.C. His service included a six-month deployment in Afghanistan.
