RANDOLPH, VT— Gifford Medical Center’s Emergency Department is proud to welcome Emily LeVan, DNP, APRN, NP-C, ENP-C, to its exceptional team of healthcare providers. A familiar face at Gifford, LeVan returns to the organization where she previously provided primary care at the Bethel Health Center from 2012 to 2014, before pursuing her passion for emergency medicine.
LeVan brings extensive training and a remarkable breadth of experience to her role. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and Spanish from Bowdoin College, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Southern Maine. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati, a Post-Master’s Certificate in Emergency and Trauma Medicine from the University of Texas at Houston, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Duke University.
An Oklahoma native, LeVan is known for her boundless energy and dedication both in and outside the hospital. A lifelong runner, she has completed 50 marathons in 25 states —including 15 Boston Marathons and two New York City Marathons—and aspires to run a marathon in every state. In a notable feat, she and her husband, Brad Johnson, ran Vermont’s 210-mile Route 100 to raise awareness and funds for diabetes care. She has also completed the Long Trail.
LeVan currently owns and operates 26.2 Health, LLC in Northfield, VT; and practices at Treatment Associates in Montpelier, VT. In addition, she is an assistant professor at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions and an adjunct professor at George Mason University. Her prior experience includes emergency and urgent care roles across Vermont and New Hampshire, as well as contributions to clinical education and nurse planning.
“I love being part of a team, and that’s what really resonates with me here at Gifford,” said LeVan. “There’s a genuine team approach that makes you feel like a valued part of something meaningful.”
Returning to Gifford holds a special significance for LeVan. “Gifford has always been a place I’ve valued—for its small, family-like feel and the warmth of the people. It’s amazing that people still remember me. It feels good to return to a community where you’re seen and appreciated.”
When she’s not working or teaching, LeVan enjoys traveling—especially to visit her daughter Maddie—and staying active outdoors.
Gifford Medical Center is delighted to welcome Emily LeVan back to the community and looks forward to the expertise and compassion she brings to patient care.
