After spending some time growing up in New Hampshire, Dr. Holman is excited to be returning to New England. Since 2001, Dr. Holman has spent most of her career in private practice with her husband and fellow Gifford general surgeon, Aleksandr Sokolovsky. From skin lesions, lumps, bumps, colon resections, thyroid and gallbladder, Dr. Holman has performed the gamut of general surgeries. However, her specialty is breast surgery, which includes biopsies, mastectomies and special reconstructive techniques.
“I want to see the patient from the beginning of the process, get to know them, and follow them through their recovery. My husband and I are big proponents of having a one-on-one relationship with the patient.”

Dr. Sokolovsky has performed various types of general surgery, with his specialty being laparoscopic hernia surgery, which is minimally invasive.
“In a small hospital environment like Gifford, you get to really know your patient, which is how Dr. Holman and I have always practiced. We’re excited to be a part of a team where we can make the most difference.”
