Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) Emily Young has extensive experience working with palliative and hospice patients, multi-stressed families, and the older adult and geriatric populations. She has special interests in the sandwich generation, caregiver support, memory disorders, and aging in place. She describes her counseling style as strengths-based and solution-focused.
“I want to help my patients and their families move forward with their lives and goals,” Emily says. “And I want them to feel heard. Sometimes just feeling heard can make all the difference. I also like to make sure folks really understand what’s happening with their health conditions and what their care options are.”
When not working, Emily enjoys hiking, walking her dogs in the woods, cooking, traveling, and reading.
