Photographs by Bethel’s Jesse Orr are now on display in the Gifford Medical Center art gallery. The exhibit, “True Colors of Vermont,” features 20 shots of natural scenes that range from Lake Champlain and Killington to Silver Lake in Barnard, Vermont.
Orr has been taking digital photos since 2000, when his grandparents gave him a digital camera as a graduation gift. He started carrying the camera everywhere and tried to capture scenes in the best light possible.
“I began by taking pictures of my family at birthday and holiday get-togethers and also took lots of pictures of the sky, capturing “sunbows,” rainbows, sunrises, and sunsets,” said Orr. “This show features a balance of scenery and wildlife that brings smiles to my friends and family.”
Orr has had several exhibits at Gifford’s gallery, and his work has recently been displayed at the Cockadoodle Café, the Bethel Art Show at the Town Hall in Bethel, the Tunbridge Fair, and Sandy’s Books and Bakery, in Rochester, Vermont.
