RANDOLPH, Vt.— Gifford is pleased to welcome, Brigid Meehan-Brese, DNP to its team of primary care providers. Meehan-Brese, who comes to Gifford after spending nearly four years at Springfield Hospital in Vermont, will be seeing patients at Gifford’s Rochester Health Center.
Meehan-Brese received her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Vermont Technical College in Randolph and her Doctor of Nursing Practice at The University of Vermont. Working at an inpatient facility during her career has helped shape Meehan-Brese’s interest in preventative care.
“You see so many people who had they reached out at the right moment, could have prevented some of what’s going on,” Meehan-Brese said. “One of the biggest areas where we have to make improvements in people’s health and quality of life is preventative care.”
In Rochester, Meehan-Brese will be taking over for Dr. Erwin Lange, who retired this year after joining Gifford in 2016.
“I am looking forward to it,” Meehan-Brese said. “There’s a good support system in place and Rochester is a great little town, so I think it’ll be a good fit.”
Meehan-Brese enjoys teaching skiing and spending time with her family. Before starting her medical career, she was a singer, musician, and composer, arranging musical scores and performing in several operas both nationally and internationally.
