RANDOLPH, Vt.— Mary DiNallo, MS, PMHNP-BC, RN has joined Gifford’s Psychiatry and Counseling team. She will be providing mental health care for people in the community, including veterans who have substance use and post-traumatic stress disorders.
DiNallo has spent several years working as a counselor in New England. She originally went to nursing school intending to be a midwife. While working in an Ob/Gyn office, she took a side job in a detox unit at a substance abuse facility. It was then that she realized her passion for counseling and working with military veterans.
“I just really connected with them because I come from a Marine Corps family,” DiNallo said. “PTSD is something I’ve seen in my lifetime among my family members and I just want to be able to offer that kind of help to others.”
DiNallo will be available in Randolph on a part-time basis but in the coming months will be seeing patients in Bethel as well. She can be reached through Gifford Primary Care at (802) 728-2445.
