RANDOLPH, Vt.—Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Melanie Clark has joined Gifford Health Care, serving on the Primary Care team at Chelsea Health Center.
Clark’s approach to patient care is holistic.
“My goal, always, is to encompass the whole patient,” she said. “I utilize evidence-based guidelines and policies to provide optimum care with compassion.”
Clark’s vast clinical experience includes a wide range of care for all ages in a fast-paced urgent care setting; wellness care, routine health maintenance, and psychological support in a family health setting in an underserved area; obstetric and gynecological care for women; pediatric care for children of all ages; and medical and surgical nursing care for patients with acute and chronic illness, oncology care, and palliative care in a small community hospital.
Clark previously worked as a family nurse practitioner at AFC Urgent Care in Beverly, Mass.; as a family nurse practitioner at Cambridge Family Health Center in Cambridge, N.Y.; as a registered nurse at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, Vt.; and as a clinical nurse instructor at Southern Vermont College in Bennington, Vt. She earned a master’s degree in nursing from Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, Ky., and bachelor’s and associate degrees in nursing from Southern Vermont College in Bennington, Vt. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
