Gifford’s Art Gallery is showcasing the talents of Dr. Ken Borie and four members of Gifford’s Nutrition and Food Service program, Delia Bender, Nathon Bump, Jennifer Lizotte and James DiStefano, Jr.
The eclectic mix of work highlights the unique talents of each artists and includes a mix of illustrations, wood burnings, photography, wool weaving samples, oil and watercolor paintings. Dr. Borie’s oil and watercolor painting offer a glimpse of life outside of the medical office. He looks to art to help “clear his mind and find balance.”
Bump’s work is dark and mysterious, but also rich in color. He “feels more complete” when he finishes a unique piece.
Lizotte turns to woodwork and photography to help relax after a long day and refers to her photography as “Vermont’s Gems.”
DiStefano’s passion for nature allows him to capture the spirit of his subjects. His prints have been featured at the New Hampshire Wildlife Federation and VT Fish and Game Department.
Bender finds their inspiration is nature and going outside. “I take a lot of reference photos when on a hike so I can experience the moment and come back to it later.”
The teams work is on display until March 20th. The Gifford Gallery is located just inside the hospitals’ main entrance at 44 South Main Street in Randolph.
