Photography by Tina Valentinetti is on display through July 11 in the Gifford Gallery at Gifford Medical Center. The exhibit, free and open to the public, includes 26 photographs, from wildlife close-ups of egrets and a barn owl to still life and landscape scenes from throughout Vermont.
Valentinetti has been taking photographs since 1951, when she received her first camera, a Kodak Brownie Hawkeye. She characterizes herself as a realist, but said she also finds “it exciting and challenging to re-envision images, and to move them away from the strictly realistic to varying levels of interpretation.”
“My hope is that my photographs will convey to others the wonder, beauty, and joy that I see in the world around me,” Valentinetti said.
The Gifford Gallery is located just inside the hospital’s main entrance at 44 S. Main St., Route 12, in Randolph. Artwork may be purchased at the hospital’s Garden Gate Gift Shop, open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, call 802-728-7000 or email .
