Images captured by freelance nature and wildlife photographer Lisa Manning are on display through Oct. 24 in the Gifford Gallery at Gifford Medical Center. The exhibit, free and open to the public, features a series of scenes from Vermont to Alaska and across the seasons.
Among Manning’s wildlife subjects on display at Gifford are a snowy owl, bald eagle, and moose. Also featured are several landscape and scenic photographs, including of Alaska’s Denali, the tallest mountain in North America.
The photographer describes herself as adventurous.
“I’m willing to go to any measure to get the image,” said the Vermont native. “I’ll hike, camp, kayak, and travel to find that picture. Every season I set goals and do my best to make it happen.”
