Psychologist Anne Pratt has joined Gifford’s Behavioral Health team, bringing more than 30 years of experience in private practice, clinics, medical settings, and the court system.
“I strongly believe in a collaborative approach to psychotherapy,” she said. “I have been trained and have expertise on certain psychological problems, but clients are the experts on themselves and what they are experiencing.”
Raised in New Jersey and Illinois, Dr. Pratt’s family spent summers camping in the mountains of Vermont or New Hampshire. She originally worked as a teacher and was drawn to students who struggled with emotional issues and returned to school to train in mental health. She received a MA in School Psychology and a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Rhode Island.
Most recently she worked as a clinical psychologist at the Family Care Medical Center in Springfield, MA and at Deer Oaks, Inc. in Woodstock, helping geriatric and disabled clients in assisted living and nursing homes. Dr. Pratt specializes in treatment of depression, anxiety, and psychological trauma and sees clients in Randolph. To schedule an appointment call 802-728-2790.
