Continuing a longtime summer tradition, the South Royalton Band will open the 7th annual Gifford Community Concert Series at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, at Gifford Park. The free, family-friendly series features a different band each week through Aug. 21 and includes picnic-inspired refreshments provided by area nonprofit organizations.
Families, friends, and neighbors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for an evening of fun, food, and music. The 2018 concert lineup, featuring talented musicians representing a variety of genres from country to jazz, includes:
July 10: South Royalton Band; food provided by Capstone Community Action
July 17 [rescheduled to July 19 due to weather]: Larry Brassard and The Bear Mountain Jammers (New England-style country); food provided by Gifford’s Last Mile Ride
July 24: 4-Play (’80s covers); food provided by Randolph Center Fire Department
July 31: Tim Brick (country); food provided by Orange County Sheriff’s Department
Aug. 7: John Lackard Band (blues and classic rock); food provided by Gifford’s Last Mile Ride
Aug. 14: Jennings and McComber (indie folk); food provided by Randolph-Shizukuishi Exchange Program
Aug. 21: Dave Keller Band (smooth jazz); food provided by Randolph Sunrise Rotary Club
