RANDOLPH, Vt.— Gifford is pleased to announce that Kate Clemente, PA-C is moving from her role at Primary Care to work in Orthopedics, joining the Sports Medicine team at the Sharon Health Center. Clemente is currently seeing patients through same-day and next-day appointments, which means patients can now avoid long wait times and the financial cost of going to Urgent Care or the Emergency Room for injuries such as a wrist sprain.
Since 2018, Clemente has been working in Gifford Primary Care under the tutelage of Dr. Ken Borie. Before her stint at Gifford Primary Care, Clemente worked in Orthopedics for four years assisting in surgical procedures and working in the outpatient clinics performing non-surgical orthopedic care. Clemente’s passion for sports medicine dates back to her days as a lacrosse and soccer player for Montpelier High School. She’s now an avid mountain biker, climber, skier and hiker.
“I had wonderful providers when I suffered a sports-related injury. So I can relate to the patients I see who have suffered similar injuries,” Clemente said. “I am drawn to helping those athletes recover.”
Clemente joins orthopedic providers, Dr. Alex Orem and Brad Salzmann, PA-C, who both work out of Gifford Medical Center in Randolph. With Kate’s arrival at the Sharon Health Center, Gifford now offers orthopedic services alongside, physical therapy, podiatry and chiropractic Care at that location.
