Employees collect 1,198 lbs. food, $1,198 matching check for Randolph Food Shelf
Randolph Chimney Saver’s gave an extra boost to Gifford’s Giving Tuesday Employee Food Drive this year, matching a dollar for every pound of food collected on the Randolph campus. Gifford staff presented 1,198 pounds of food and Chimney Savers Co-Owner Paul Bianco presented a matching check to the Randolph Food Shelf’s Jo Busha on Tuesday, November 28.
is the second year that Gifford has participated in Giving Tuesday, a national day of giving on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, and employees exceeded last year’s 1,020 pound food donation. Gifford staff at community clinics in Bethel, Berlin, Sharon, and White River Junction donated their collections to the food shelves in their towns.
Since 2012 charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world have joined together to encourage people to start the holiday season by giving to local charities and causes they support. For more details about the #GivingTuesday movement visit www.givingtuesday.org.
