From Our Leadership:
We are happy to present the 2021 Gifford Health Care Annual Report to our communities. While 2021 was once again dominated by the COVID pandemic, Gifford was able to pair our pandemic-related efforts with our continued high-quality care and focus on the future. This will be evident through the stories in our annual report.
Our Gifford team once again made a significant impact in combating the COVID virus. During 2021 we performed nearly 14,000 free COVID tests, administered over 17,500 vaccines (includes first, and second doses, as well as boosters), provided approximately 100 monoclonal antibody treatments, and served almost 10,000 families with food through our VeggieVanGo partnership with the Vermont Food Bank. We also continued to provide accurate and timely information to our communities through blog posts, press releases, YouTube videos, social media, and traditional media.
The past year significantly impacted our Gifford team. However, with an unwavering dedication to their profession and patients, our staff and providers continued to provide high-quality, personalized care for our communities. This was accomplished while adhering to strict guidelines for personal protective equipment and maintaining social distancing. They also set an example by getting vaccinated. Our team has performed admirably throughout this long-duration public health crisis. Gifford’s team is the best!
We wish you the best in 2022 and hope we can see you in person soon.
In gratitude,
Dan Bennett, President and CEO
Matt Considine, Board Chair
